You've decided that a hair topper is the perfect solution to add coverage and volume to your thin hair, but how do you decide which size do you choose?
When it comes to measuring for a hair topper, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, the base size listed is in inches, and can range from 6x6 to 10x10. Custom sizes are also available, but those are the main sizes that will be stocked at Wave Hair Collection. You'll want to place a fabric measuring tape right behind your hair line and measure back to an area where you would feel comfortable clipping onto your bio hair. If you have a lot of thinning or hair loss at the crown, be sure to extend the measurement to completely cover that area. Then do the same from side to side.
Second, The clips around the perimeter of the hair topper will clip onto your bio hair. You’ll want to make sure that the base is large enough that the clips won’t be in an area of significant thinning or hair loss. The clips should also sit on an area of your scalp where you don’t experience any sensitivity.
Finally, with that in mind, the rest is personal preference and comfort! Some women prefer a larger base for more hair coverage and ease of blending, while others want as little as possible on their head.
